Well, it was a morning affair in the kitchen, but the editing went on till dusk. And now video is ready featuring my mom and my voice to take you through the making of this unique Odia delicacy called Enduri Pitha, served on Prathamastami, which is made by wrapping the stuffed batter with turmeric leaf and then steaming it to perfection . The stuff is usually sweet made out of coconut, jaggery or sugar which we call it as nadia-pura.
Certainly Odisha's one of the best kept secret as far as recipe is concerned. The turmeric leaf wrap is so unique to our state. It adds to the fragrance and makes it more healthy.
